My Creative Space

Ok so after years of dreaming about my ideal creative space I have finally cornered the back of the lounge room as my craft area. It is sectioned off with the lounge and while I do not have the exact storage pieces I would like I have managed to make do. This week seen my dear 2 yr old climb onto the back of the lounge and while I thought everything was out of his reach he proved my wrong by emptying an entire container of embossing powder over the lounge and glitter on the floor.

I proptly logged into ebay and scored a bargain on 5 filing cabinents that each had 2 stationary draws and best of all they were lockable! So I have spent the last few days rearrainging and now have hanging files in the filing draws, a cabinent for each colour family and a file for each colour. Talk about obsessive compulsive!!!

The best thing is so far the 2yr old has stayed out of my creative haven. I will take some photos tomorrow hopefully and post them.

Popsicle Cards

Ok these were incrdible quick and easy to make not to mention fun. They would make great invites for a pool party.

Cardstock: Certainly Celery, Read Red, Whisper White
Stamp Set: Tart and Tangy
Accessories: Circle punch, scallop punch, pop stick, real red and certainly celery grosgrain ribbon. Bold Bright marker pens.

Handbags and wallets

Ok so I had some fun this week making handbags and money wallets

This handbag was made from Basic Black Cardstock, which I scored diagonal pattern on one side and clear embossed. I then added aqua diamontees to the front.

I made these handbags for Karen and one of the girls in her downline who I met at regionals. I placed one each of my cards I made to swap and one of the wallets in it. The bag was made from Pink pirroutte cardstock, the patterened panel was from the level 1 hostess 6x6 paper pad. The handle was made from apricot appeal.

This is the money wallet in brown.

I made this money wallet for my cousins christening. I used pink piroutte card stock Bold Butterly stamp set and non SU paper for the lining. I also made a co-ordinating card the size of a money note so we could write a message on it.

Cards for Regional

Ok so I attended training in Sydney recently and was lucky to catch up with the talented Karen Robinson who is my upline's (Mel) Upline. I had a great day at my first Stampin Up! event and came away with some great new ideas, as well as some lovely swaps. In a world that is so often caught up in itself it was lovely to take time out and spend it with like minded women who were so friendly and giving. Below is some of the cards I made to swap.

This little card proved to be very popular. I used whisper white cardstock, The reindeers were done using my fingerprints in Chocolate Chip ink. I drew the antlers and faces using markers. Wording was done in Real Red. ( Many Merry Messages)

This is a great quick one layer card. When you have a 2yr old and a 4 month old I am constantly on the look out for quick easy cards that still look great!

With this card I tore a strip of cardstock and used this to mask my white area while I sponged the baseful blue on lightly. When the strip was removed it created a torn look.

Cardstock: Whisper White.
Stamp Sets: Many Merry Messages and Lovely as a tree.
Ink: Baseful Blue and Hansome Hunter.
Accessories: Sponges

Cardstock: Whisper White
Stamp Sets: Just Beachy and Simple Sayings
Ink: Lovely Lilac and Orchard Oppulance
Accessories: White grosgrain Ribbon and square gem(non stampin up)

I love this lil card its perfect for a little grubs party invite.
I added googly eyes to the caterpillar to give him some extra character.

Cardstock: Glorious Green, Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink: Glorious Green, Staz On Black
Stamp Set: Bugs and Kisses and Sincere Salutations

A Wedding Card. I am loving the chocolate chip and Tempting Turquoise combination at the moment. The best thing about this card is that you can change the colours to suit those of the wedding and bridal party.
Cardstock: Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise, Chocolate Chip
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Stamp Set: For the Bride
Accessories: Tempting Turquoise grosgrain ribbon.

Scrapbooking - pregnancy

These pages are from Josh's Scrapbook album which I am slowly getting up to date. I seem to have all these pages half done, that just need one or two things to completely finish them off, I lack the discipline though to sit down and finish them off once and for all.

Scrapbooking- Christmas

Ok so I used Handsome Hunter ink, Whisper White card stock, the paper is Stampin Up but not sure of the name. Many Merry Messages, Season of Joy and Jolliest Time of the Year.

Baby Announcement

Ok so not exactly stampin up but I thought I would post it anyway as the crown sticker used can easily be replaced with a stamped image. I had every intention on doing just that but stickers were just so much quicker. I did use Night of Navy and Bashful Blue cardstock.

More Convention Swaps

Here are the last 2 cards I made for convention this year.

This one was made using the Pun Fun set. Basic Black, Real Red cardstock. Bold Brights markers and shaving cream technique for the planets. Silver punched out stars.
This one was made with the Animal Crackers set and Polka Dot background.
Whisper white and bashfule blue cardstock and white ribbon.

Pretty Princess

Ok I tried making a more complex card, rather than the simple ones I have been doing. I used the pretty princess and on the spot stamp set. Wording was done using All Year Cheer. Colours are Whisper White, Pink Passion and Orchard Oppulance. Also used bold brights markers, ribbon and scallop edge punch.

Quick, Simple Cards

OK so with an active 2 year old and a newborn, time is not something I have much of these days. I have been doing quick simple cards and scrapbooking layouts. The following cards are really simple using whisper white card stock, various bold brights markers and ribbon.

The basics: Whisper white card stock, purely pommegranite, scallop punch, sponge, so swirly wheel and a stamp set I purchased from the states. It is Stampin Up!

This one was made using real red and a wheel I purchased from the states that has the names of Santa's reindeer.
