Wedding Invite

Ok so I've been asked to come up with a few designs for a wedding invite and I have created this. The invite is made for 12x12 card stock and each piece will make two cards.

The finished size is 5in x 5in. I used the Brocade Basic stamp set.
And a metalic silver paper. Using this paper you need to use staz-on ink.

It opens upwards.

This is the inside of the card, at the top is the invitation itself with all the ceremony and reception details. My printer has decided it doesnt like the black ink that is in there at the moment so it prints everything out grey.

At the base of the card is a pocket that holds 4 pieces of paper - varying in size with the smallest piece at the front, then the next biggest and so on and so on. So its like a stepping up effect.

This is again printed on silver metallic paper. It also looks amazing on ivory.

A close up of the 4 paper inserts in the pocket
For this wedding there was a directions page, a wish list page, a preprinted RSVP postcard and a list of Hotels for the reception area.

A close up of the inserts - Again should be in black ink print but the printer is playing up. The blacked out rectangles are done on purpose for privacy reasons.

Ive worked out that the invites cost approximately $4 an invite depending on the Quantity ordered and that would include envelopes.

Christmas Decorations

These xmas balls are soooo easy to make. I purchased the balls from lincraft in a pack of 4 for $3.99 I think and they deliver for a flat fee of $6.95. I stamped the image in stazon ink on a transparency sheet. I then coloured it in using sharpie permanent markers and white craft ink (stampin up) I spray the back of the image with vellum spray and covered in holographic glitter. Once dry i used a sewing needle to thread some string through the image, placed the image inside the bauble and secured the string to the lip of the bauble with craft glue. Pour in some glitter - next time I will be using irradecent flakes from http://www.polymerclay.com.au/polymer-clay-craft-iridescent-flakes-glitter-c-21_494.html?osCsid=cb6e6217e8f760cef3fa851a7347e148. Replace the cap, tie on a bow and secure some string to hang the ball and your done. I will be adding a new class in the coming weeks to demo this xmas ball

Another Christmas Card

This card was made using soft sky, small silver ribbons, soft sky ink and the Season of Joy stamp set. I will add some glitter to the O in JOY but im waiting for my stock to arrive.

First Stamp-A-Stack

Well I had my first stamp-a-stack last saturday, and what I thought would be a class for 3, rapidly increased to a class for 10. We made this card using wild wasabi or garden green, read red, whisper white. Silver star brads and the lovely as a tree stamp set.

The other card I made was the "joy" christmas ball featured in an earlier post.

The girls had alot of fun and it went really well. I have another 4 classes just about booked out before xmas.

Still trying to work out this whole Blog thing.

Thanks to everyone who has made comments - I'm sorry I havent seen them before now but I'm still new to this blogging thing and havent worked out all the niggly bits yet. If anyone can tell me how I can group my posts in categories ( that shows up on the side under a different heading) That would be fantastic.

Thanks again for the comments. And I will try and post more often but between fulltime work a young family and all my other crafty obsessions card making sometimes takes a back seat which is a shame cause I enjoy it so much.

Another baby card

After a request from my upline Mel to see some more of my work I have got busy making more cards. ENJOY!

Another baby card (I've got baby on the brain at the moment - Everyone around me is pregnant and we are now trying for baby number 2 so there will be plenty more baby cards to come)

I used the Wash Day wheel and A is for Adorable. And coloured the image in using blender pens.

Christmas Cards

Well I have started making Christmas Cards for my upcoming Stampa-stack workshops.

I am obsessed with mostly white cards at the moment. I just love the crisp clean look to them.

In this card I used the Sincere Salutions and A is for Adorable set. Whisper White cardstock, Real Red and Glorious Green.

To get the red and green colouring for the wording I used my blender pens to colour in the red section then the green. I wasnt sure if it would work but it turned out just fine.

For this card I used the Fun and Fast Notes set and Sincere Salutations.

The tree was coloured in using blender pens.
